Welcome to the ASP book shelf. The majority of the books on this page are from my own personal library, a few are very well read. Many copies I have had on my shelves for 36 years. Several I have passed on to others to use in their journey.

The Courage To Heal, A guide for Women Survivors of Child Sexual Abuse. Ellen Bass & Laura Davis. The companion workbook is also available, if you feel a need to have prompts. Each chapter provides information regarding the life of a survivor, support for recovery, and resources to assist in the journey.
Iron John A book About Men. Robert Bly took the Grimm Fairy Tale and created a book for men about being men. Finding your path as a man is colored by the various ideas set forth by men who found what they advise works for them. This book, from the men I know, will help you find your own definition. Great for men in recovery, it has been highly recommended by those men I know.
Cassandra Speaks written as a guide and history of how women through the ages have been demonized, ignored, and cast off. The Greek Goddess Cassandra, Pandora, and others are mentioned, with guides to assist you in being heard.

Women Who Run With the Wolves, Myths and Stories of the Wild Woman Archetype by Clarissa Pinkola Estes, Ph.D. This was a freeing book, every woman I know that has read this book has said it took them to a place of belonging. When you do not fit into your family, work, or other circles, the reason may be as simple as being a woman who runs with wolves.
The Dark Side of the Light Chasers, Debbie Ford. She was ahead of her time. Shadow work has a long history, Jung's concepts of Shadow and how we live. Another great book for recovery individuals. Men and women can benefit from the pages with in.
Breast Cancer? Breast Health the Wise Woman Way. Susun S. Weed. This was written for women diagnosed with breast cancer, however, I found it hugely beneficial as a senior with age challenges. Do not wait until you are diagnosed, learn how to have a healthy breast and body.
Down There Sexual & Reproductive Health, The Wise Woman Way. Susun S Weed. I love her 6 step approach. Educate, notice, to the severe break and enter. Prevention is a solid path. This books is filled with information and resources.
Disruptive Thinking, TD Jakes. I love this book, it fits with my thought/belief path. We should not just take what we hear as the truth. What is true for one is not true for all. Disrupt that thinking and shake it up, research, speak out, do more than just listen. Watch for more from me about this book.
Illusions, The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah. Richard Bach I love all his books, this one I have hung on to forever. My early recovery this is one of a dozen books that brought me peace when I felt like I was going crazy. The way I think has never helped me fit in anywhere.
Knots, RD Laing. This one is falling apart, as you can see by my pic. But it is a great "poetry" type of book. Worth keeping on a reference shelf.
New Menopausal Years, The Wise Woman Way. Susun S Weed. I have bought a few copies, but hung on to mine, it is now over 20 years old. Give or take. This book literally saved me. I have thrived in my menopausal years. The issues I hear so many other women having, I do not have. Some mood swings for a bit, then I found the solution. Highly recommended.
No Self No Problem, Chris Niebauer, Ph.D. A read and read again, study and read some more type of book. There is a work book, but I prefer to create my own. Another must have on that shelf.
Self Heal By Design. Barbara ONeill Learning to listen to her video bytes, led me to explore deeper. I love having reference books for a healthy life. This woman is over 90 and going strong. That is my goal.

The Wisdom of Insecurity, Alan Watts I loved reading this book, it made sense out of how I was feeling. I guided me to discover how to have a deeper understanding of me.
This is it, Alan Watts Another great resource in discovering self and acceptance of self. Creating a deeper spiritual life and discovering the art of Zen.
Untie the Strong Woman, Clarissa Pinkola Estes, PhD. I am going to follow her foot steps in this book and create a area in my garden with the figure of goddess and the mother. She teaches us how to achieve that path to living with our strength. A great work for guiding.
Herbal Antivirals, Stephen H Buhner 2nd Edition. Herbs that fight viral infections including HIV, flu, coronaviruses, rhinoviruses, and more. Thorough with his research and citations, this is the type of writer I strive to become. I have found great success using the herbs and recipes he has provided.
Conversations with God, Neale Donald Walsh. Another book I got in early recovery, so this has been around a lot of years. If you ever feel like you cannot grasp the concept of a religious god, this is a good read. God does talk to everyone, not everyone listens. Struggling with finding that path to a Divine presence, this will help.
